Morocco EXPEDITION DETAILS
Date TBD
Let's get you up to speed!
This document contains some basic information about your upcoming Meteorite Hunting Adventures expedition to Morocco. Further details will be included in the expedition agreement, which we urge you to review carefully. Please call or email us if you have any questions.
COST
This expedition costs TBD per person. This can be paid either directly through this website or via email or call. A $500 deposit is required to reserve your space. The remaining balance must be paid thirty days before your expedition begins. We must reach the minimum number of participants, or your deposit will be refunded.
DATE AND AIRFARE
Official expedition dates are as follows: choose to fly in to Casablanca (CMN) on the 2nd through the 4th of April, depending on your distance and need to recover from jet lag. There is one Royal Air Maroc flight ($35) from Casablanca to Errachidia (ERH) at 11pm-11:59 pm every day. Hunting starts at 8 am on April 5th. Transport from the Errachidia airport to our hotel will be provided. Meteorite Hunting Adventures does not cover airfare.

LODGING
Your package fee includes lodging accommodations throughout the stay. Some of our Moroccan Adventures are in a set up camping spot with high end tents (provided), others we are able to stay at nearby hotels.
MEALS AND SNACKS
We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner during the day. Before the expedition formally begins, we will make a trip to a supermarket so each participant can purchase their own additional food and snacks for the entire trip. This is when water will be purchased.
TRANSPORTATION
Meteorite Hunting Adventures will provide vehicles for entering and exiting the strewnfield/hunting areas; the initial trip to a supermarket; and transport to and from the Errachidia hotel and from the airport. Meteorite Hunting Adventures cannot guarantee specific trips to outside restaurants or shops for evening meals with our vehicles, so participants should be prepared to take taxis, rent their own vehicles for the trip, and/or make other personal accommodations for personal excursions. Vehicles in the strewnfield/hunting area are intended for transportation around the strewnfield/hunting area and are not specifically for hunting purposes.
SECURITY & SAFETY
The desert itself is relatively safe, as it is devoid of most animals and not near borders or known areas of conflict. The terrain is fairly safe.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL AND DIFFICULTY
The Morocco expedition is a relatively easy hunt and will not require heavy equipment. However, participants should be prepared for long walks and we recommend that you condition yourself physically prior to the expedition so you can comfortably walk a few miles. If you are not able to comfortably walk that distance, we strongly recommend renting your own vehicle for transportation. Anyone of any experience level, new or veteran, can participate in this hunt.
