METEORITE HUNTERS
World famous meteorite hunters Steve Arnold and Geoffrey Notkin have scoured the planet for meteorites. And found hundreds of them, from the harsh deserts of Chile, all the way to the streets of Chicago. They have almost thirty years of combined meteorite hunting experience, and they want to share it with you. Meteorites are extremely rare! If you want to find one of your own, your best chance is to go with the experts.

Steve stunned the international scientific community in the fall of 2005 when he discovered a 1,430-lb pallasite meteorite, buried seven feet below the rolling fields of Breham, Kansas. He was featured on CNN, CBS, the NBC Today show, ABC, The Discovery Channel and hundreds of other news outlets around the world. His 3/4-ton meteorite is the largest pallasite ever found in the United States and one of the largest found in history. Geoff Notkin joined him in the hunt, and together they recovered several more large meteorites. One of those excavations was filmed specially for the Travel Channel.

Science writer Geoffrey Notkin has published more than fifty articles on meteorites, meteorite hunting, paleontology, travel, technology, and the arts. His photographs have appeared in Readers Digest, Wired, Rock & Gem, Lapidary Journal, Meteorite, Geotimes and in many other national and international publications. He has made numerous TV and radio appearances and is currently working on a book about his life as a meteorite hunter.

Steve and Geoff co-star with well-known TV personality Becky Worley in the meteorite hunters episode of The Best Places to Find Cash & Treasures, which premiered on December 19, 2006. They will make their PBS debut in January, 2007 in the new series Wired Science.
